Expressions of interest for Law Society Committees now open
One of the best ways to give back to your profession, contribute to law reform, make new connections and stay up-to-date is to participate in one of the Law Society's Regulatory, Policy or Segment Committees. Whether you are a partner who can lend expertise to our Public Law Committee or an in-house counsel who wants to share your experience and guidance with our In-house Corporate Lawyers Committee, there is a Committee to suit everyone. EOIs open today. Learn more. The NSW Young Lawyers Committee EOI process is administered separately. If you would like to submit an EOI for the NSW Young Lawyers Committee, you must submit an EOI to attend the NSW Young Lawyers Annual Assembly. Click here.

Revenue NSW evidentiary requirements
Revenue NSW has published updated guidance on the evidentiary requirements regarding the interpretation of "original" documents. Where "original" is referenced, it can be interpreted as including:
- Electronically executed instruments (e.g. digitally signed documents)
- Electronic copies of documents
- Scanned copies of signed documents
This clarification is intended to reduce the administrative burden of providing hard copy originals in many circumstances.
