The Professional Conduct Advisory Panel (PCAP) supports solicitors subject to disciplinary proceedings. The Panel's confidential service is entirely independent of the Law Society's regulatory authorities. The Panel is made up of experienced solicitors with in-depth knowledge of the procedures for conduct and disciplinary matters. They can guide you on potential professional conduct problems, support you confidentially through a conduct or disciplinary process and assist you to prepare written responses. You can find more information about the PCAP here.
The Solicitors' Benevolent Association provides urgent relief in the form of grants, loans or periodic payments to members and former members of the legal profession, their families or surviving spouse and dependents in circumstances of pressing financial need or distress. If you think these circumstances might apply to you, you can call 02 9926 0378 to find out more details on how to apply.
