PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

NSW state election results and CPD deadline approaching

While we are still awaiting the final distribution of seats after Saturday’s state election, it has been confirmed that the NSW Coalition, led by Gladys Berejiklian, has been returned to power for an historic third term.

On behalf of the state’s legal profession, I congratulate Gladys Berejiklian on the election result and on becoming the first woman to be elected Premier of NSW by the people.

Premier Berejiklian’s post-election speech on Saturday night acknowledged the historical significance of her win with her statement, “What’s most important to me is that no matter what your background, where you live, what your circumstances, everybody in this state has the chance to be their best. A state in which someone with a long surname - and a woman - can be the Premier of New South Wales.” Continue reading >

Practising Certificate and Membership Renewals will open Tuesday 2 April 2019
Solicitors will receive an email on 2 April 2019 containing a link and information on how to renew their practising certificate and Law Society membership online. To access and complete your renewal you will need to login to the My Law Society portal using your LSID. To assist, your individual LSID will be included in the 2 April email. READ MORE
