The Law Society provides purpose-designed and appointed mediation, arbitration and meeting spaces in a private and secure environment. Located on Level 12 at 170 Phillip Street, the facilities offer superbly appointed rooms with adjoining party rooms. The Law Society is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation and, based on advice from government and health authorities, taking all required action to protect the health and wellbeing of members of the profession, Law Society staff, and anyone accessing 170 Phillip Street.

Room allocation and seating arrangements are flexible and can accommodate many types of bookings including mediation, arbitration, negotiation and conciliation, as well as general meetings.
The rooms are equipped with a number of self-service facilities provided at no extra cost for use by participants. Our ancillary facilities are the most modern available for mediation and arbitration and include:
- Complimentary wireless internet access. The facility is equipped with its own secure wireless internet service. To access the wireless internet you will need a laptop or phone with Wi-Fi capability.
- Printing, photocopying and scanning facilities
- Facsimile service
- Communication facilities to allow for phone / web conferencing, internet and computer access
- Data projector
- Ceiling mounted projector screens
- Magnetic glass whiteboards and markers
- After hours air-conditioning
- All rooms are sound proofed
- Catered and self-service facility which allows for unlimited coffee and tea. More substantial catering options are also available for hearing parties.
The following additional services are available by arrangement, at additional cost:
- Teleconferencing
- Web conferencing
- In-house catering

Special arrangements can be made for our closing times as we understand that mediations can unexpectedly run overtime
Catering Packages
The Law Society understands the time constraints with mediations and have put together an in-house catering menu. We would encourage you and your clients to order from our in-house catering menu prior to your meetings.
Catering will be billed separately and orders must be received two business days prior to mediation / meeting taking place.
