The Law Society of New South Wales is pleased to host its annual event recognising the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, being held on Thursday 26 March 2026.

This significant day calls on us within the profession to reflect on the impact of racial discrimination, amplify diverse voices, and consider how we can collectively contribute to a more equitable legal system. In support of this ongoing dialogue, we are pleased to host an evening of networking followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion and Q&A.

During this session, diverse representatives from the profession will share their lived experiences and offer insights on the challenges faced by practitioners from racially diverse backgrounds, opportunities to strengthen equity and inclusion within the profession, and improving outcomes for clients from culturally diverse communities.

This insightful discussion will be led by our esteemed panellists:

  • Leanne Ho, Pro Bono Partner, Wotton Kearney
  • Keerthi Ravi, Senior Legal Counsel, PwC
  • Alexia Yazdani, Principal Solicitor, Hillside Legal, Councillor, the Law Society of NSW
  • Moderator: Ronan MacSweeney, 2026 President, the Law Society of NSW

We hope you will join us for an evening of meaningful conversation, connection, and reflection.
