programs

The Law Society has a diverse set of services and resources designed to keep you well and thriving as you practise. We’re here to support you at any time in your career when you face a challenge to your wellbeing.

Wellness services

Being a member of the Law Society allows you to access wellness and counselling services targeted to lawyers. These include Lifeline for Lawyers for 24/7 confidential crisis support, and the Law Society’s Specialist Panel and LawCare, both of which provide members with confidential access to healthcare professionals such as psychologists and counsellors experienced in working with lawyers. To access support call 1800 085 062.

Courses and resources

Members can access CPD sessions on staying well in the law and common wellbeing issues legal practitioners face. You are given access to online information and resources that will help you to understand what professional resilience is and to make healthy choices as you practise. Our various mentoring programs, including for women and young lawyers, are extremely popular.
