PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
If you could be remembered for one thing, what would it be?

In a recent interview, I was asked “if you could be remembered for one thing, what would it be?” The broader scope of this question has been front and centre for me this year as I have witnessed first-hand the incredible kindness of our profession and the way in which we face adversity and setback. As floods sweep through many parts of our State yet again, my thoughts are with those members who have been affected and their communities. If you need to reach out and speak to someone, please contact the Solicitor Outreach Service (SOS) 1800 592 296. This is a dedicated and confidential counselling service for NSW solicitors. Continue reading >

Member webinars – composition of Law Society Council review
As part of its review of the composition and structure of the Law Society Council, we are conducting a membership survey to ask your views on what a best practice Law Society Council might look like. In addition to the survey, our independent governance consultants, Cameron Ralph Khoury, are holding member webinars at 4:30pm on Thursday 14 July and at 11am on Wednesday 20 July. These webinars will allow members the opportunity to ask questions about the review and to tell us what they think about our board and governance structure. Registration for each of these webinars is now available here.
