MENTEE RESPONSIBILITIES

FAQ'S

Why do you need me to provide so much information on my application?

The information you provide will assist us to match you with the most appropriate mentor, based on experience, skills and what you both want to achieve from the program. Please note we cannot guarantee that we will be able to find you a mentor who matches all of your criteria.

Who can see my application form?

The information provided in your application will be kept confidential and only used by the program administrators to identify an appropriate mentor. Some information you provide may not be used when identifying an appropriate mentor. Your mentor will be able to view the information you provide in your application after you have been matched.

How will I know if I have been successful and who I have been matched with?

When applications close, we review all mentor applications to identify appropriate matches. We aim to inform you of your mentor three weeks prior to the program commencing.

Who initiates contact and determines what is discussed at the meetings?

It is the mentee who drives the meetings and initiates contact with their mentor and determines what is discussed during each meeting.

What commitments am I expected to make?

As well as meeting with your mentor on a regular basis (at least one hour per month), you will need to complete a one-hour online training module and attend three events/webinars over the 10-month program. You will also need to agree to our Code of Practice and complete online program evaluations as requested.

How long will my mentor be available?

We ask our mentors to make commitments of at least 10 months in order to ensure that the mentee can benefit fully from the relationship. If a mentor must leave the program early, we request they provide at least one month's notice so we are able to search for a replacement mentor with similar background.

What do I do if the relationship is not going well or I am concerned about mentorship?

We encourage you to first let your mentor know of your concerns and then contact your Program Manager - using the button on the platform - immediately. We will provide our full support to resolve the situation in a positive and satisfactory manner.

At what point does payment get processed?

Payment will be processed upon finalising your online application. We will be in touch once you have been matched with a mentor. If we are unable to match you with a mentor, your payment will be refunded in full.
