If you are the holder of an Australian practising certificate issued in New South Wales, you are eligible to apply for a Solicitor Identification Card, which can be used to confirm your authorisation to practise as a solicitor in New South Wales. 

The card issued to Solicitor Members of the Law Society of New South Wales is a Platinum card. This not only acts as your identity card, but can also be used to access the Law Society’s Member Connexions benefits. 

You can apply for an ID card or update your photo at any time by completing the Application for an Identification Card.

The card may be issued with or without a photo. If you would like a photo ID card you will need to supply a passport photo that is less than 12 months old.
