The Law Society of NSW offers a segmented Leadership Development Program for in-house, private practice and government solicitors seeking to enhance their leadership skills in support of their profession.

This program is held across three consecutive, interactive workshops at the Law Society of New South Wales.  To align with the differing leadership contexts and challenges of each segment, this program is delivered three times per year, with each participant cohort being segment-specific.

Throughout the workshops, participants explore evidence-informed leadership strategies at the individual, interpersonal, and organisational levels. As a participant, you will develop practical skills in areas including interpersonal communication and effective team leadership, understanding and advancing your own leadership identity, and how to develop and implement systems that support healthy and sustainable corporate culture in your organisation.

This program provides up to 12 Continuing Professional Development hours and provides a unique opportunity to develop tailored leadership skills and valuable professional connections with your peers across the profession. 

To complement these workshops and to promote learning integration, each participant is entitled to a one-on-one coaching session at the conclusion of the program to assist you in building personal resilience and setting and meeting your leadership development goals. These coaching sessions vary based on participant needs, but they often focus on identifying personal leadership assets, developing tailored and role-specific strategies for motivating others and inspiring healthy and high-performing team culture, and equipping participants with strategies to develop their voices as authority figures seeking to affect positive change.

• Current member of the Law Society of NSW 
• Hold a practising certificate relevant to your segment
• Participants must be available for all dates for workshops
