Updates on the

2018 competition

The 2018 Mock Trial Grand Final saw Trinity Catholic College Lismore and Saint Ignatius' College Riverview face court for a criminal trial matter concerning negligent driving.

After two hours of thought-provoking arguments from both sides, the case went to the Defence, with all charges dismissed and Saint Ignatius' College Riverview awarded champions of the Grand Final. Xavier O'Grady, 1st Barrister for the team was awarded this year's Student Advocacy Prize.

Both teams did a superb job on the day and throughout the year.

Thank you to the Grand Final Magistrates on the day, Magistrate Elizabeth Ellis, Ellen McKenzie and Dr Virginia Marshall.
