Climate change is one of the defining issues of our generation. Whether or not you believe it to be the most dangerous man-made threat facing humanity, the science is clear that it is already having a measurable impact on the environment.

In the first Thought Leadership event of 2021, our panel of experts explored the intersection of climate change and the law, and considered the role of legal practitioners in responding to the challenge. Topics included:

  • How to implement a climate-conscious approach in daily legal practice;
  • Assisting clients with climate risk management and sustainability;
  • Climate change litigation in Australia and abroad; and
  • How the science of weather event attribution might influence future climate change litigation.

Watch this important discussion on an issue that is already presenting implications and opportunities for our profession.
