Our 2026 Pride Breakfast brings together LGBTQIA+ members of the legal profession and their allies to celebrate the resilience and progress of the community within the legal landscape.

Join us to connect with like-minded leaders, innovators, and advocates from across the profession, followed by a plated breakfast and an inspiring keynote address from our guest speaker, The Hon. John Sackar AM KC, former Justice of the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Mr Sackar was appointed to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2011 and sat in the Equity Division, which hears a broad range of commercial disputes. Immediately prior to his retirement in February 2024, he conducted a Special Commission of Inquiry into a number of alleged unsolved homicides in the LGBTIQ+ community on behalf of the New South Wales government. In 2025 he was made a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the judiciary, and to the law.

At the breakfast, Mr Sackar will explore the 2026 Pride theme, Connected in Colour, reflecting on its significance in today’s legal landscape and its broader implications for our collective future.
