Following last night's announcement of a short lockdown in the Orange, Blayney and Cabonne Local Government Areas, the Local Courts in Orange and Blayney have been included in the arrangements pursuant to Chief Magistrate's Memo 19. Although the lockdown at these areas is only for 7 days, the memo will apply until 30 July 2021 and any defended hearings at Orange Local Court will be vacated from today until 30 July 2021. Follow the Local Court’s COVID updates here. Some of the technical difficulties the court may be experiencing is in relation to participants using a 4G mobile network to connecting to the AVL. Practitioners and participants are advised that when using an AVL link with the court they should be on a robust WIFI network and not on a mobile network such as 4G.

Practitioners should contact the Court for AVL appearance details and listing confirmation.
