How to become a Student Member

To join, you will firstly need to create a LawID by completing the online LawID form. Once you've verified your LawID, you can complete an online student membership application via the 'become a student member' option on the LawID homepage which appears as below:

Eligibility 

An individual is eligible to become a Student Member if the person:

  • is not otherwise qualified to be an Associate Member; and 
  • is studying law or has successfully completed a course in law at any university, college or institution in Australia recognised for admission as a lawyer in Australia and who signifies intention to practise as a legal practitioner
