The Law Society's Diversity and Inclusion Committee held a special webcast to commemorate the third anniversary of marriage equality on Thursday 5 November 2020.

Over the years, the LGBTQI+ community has seen growing support within the legal profession. To highlight how far we have come with mentoring and advocacy throughout our communities, we brought together a diverse panel of speakers with lived experience in the LGBTQI+ space.

Our panellists shared their experiences and the roles they played in creating marriage equality, the path taken in reaching such an historic outcome, and discussed what can still be done to improve the profession and continue to advocate progress.
