This award recognises individuals who have made significant contributions as part of a Law Society Committee.
The recipient provides valuable insights, informed perspectives and meaningful recommendations which contribute to effective law reform, policy development, ethics and regulation.
Assessment criteria
Provide examples where possible, how has the nominee’s knowledge and insights contributed to the Law Society’s efforts in relation to law reform, policy development or guidance for the profession on critical legal issues. (50 per cent)
Provide examples where possible, that demonstrate how the nominee’s contributions have furthered the Law Society’s values of leading the profession, serving our members and advocating for a just legal system. (25 per cent)
Provide examples where possible, how has the nominee demonstrated leadership on their committee, fostering a collaborative environment, encouraging open dialogue, and uniting diverse perspectives to achieve common goals. (25 per cent)
Eligibility
Nominations for this award are open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
NSW solicitor currently serving on a Policy & Practice Committee of the Law Society of NSW
Hold a current NSW practising certificate
Member of The Law Society of NSW
Category open to self-nomination (supported by one or two referees).
