The Law Society of NSW, in consultation with the Indigenous Issues Committee, has developed Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients: resources for solicitors in NSW. These resources aim to provide practical information for solicitors to effectively meet their professional obligations when providing assistance to First Nations clients.

The Law Society notes the following resources may also be of assistance:

Legal Aid NSW / Making our services work for Aboriginal people

Guide to legal services for Aboriginal people in NSW and the ACT

ATSILS pro bono guide

Working with Aboriginal clients: what makes a good lawyer?

Indigenous protocols for lawyers (Law Society of Northern Territory)

Judicial commission of NSW: equality before the law bench book
