About us

Established in 2005, the Propert Law Committee has quickly grown into one of the busiest and most productive in Young Lawyers.

This is hardly surprising given Property Law covers such a vast array of areas including:

  • conveyancing
  • leasing
  • franchising
  • mortgages and other securities
  • taxation (including stamp duty, GST, land tax etc)
  • planning, development and environmental issues,
  • land structuring and titling issues
  • strata and community titling
  • agency issues
  • building and construction
  • sale of business.

Our objectives

The objectives of the Property Law Committee are to:

  • raise the profile of the practise of Property Law in NSW
  • cooordinate property-related Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Programs
  • provide members with the opportunity to participate in submissions to Government on proposed legislative amendments and other property related issues
  • keep property practitioners informed by providing regular information bulletins regarding legislative changes, important judicial decisions and current matters of interest in the property industry
  • organise social events and networking opportunities amongst young lawyers for the benefit of our members
