The Law Society of NSW Mentoring Programs
Members of the Law Society of NSW can participate in three uniquely targeted mentoring programs developed to support lawyers at different stages of their career:
- Graduate Mentoring Program: for final year law students and recent graduates
- Young Lawyers Mentoring Program: for lawyers with two to five years in practice
- Women's Mentoring Program: for women lawyers with over five years in practice
Mentoring plays a valuable role in your personal and professional development and can help you build a fulfilling and successful career. Our mentoring programs provide:
Mentees with the opportunity to increase your network, gain unbiased insight from a more experienced practitioner and build confidence in your areas of practice by developing skills to map and achieve career goals.
Mentors with the ability to develop your leadership, coaching and interpersonal skills, gain a fresh perspective from younger members of the profession and the opportunity to positively impact the career development of another person.
Connecting final year law students and recent law graduates with young lawyers to gain support and guidance through the transition from student life into the legal profession.
Connecting women, with over five years experience in the profession, with more experienced practitioners to support and encourage their career progression and advancement into leadership roles.
