JOIN YOUNG LAWYERS
NSW Young Lawyers is the largest body of young and newly practising lawyers, and law students, in Australia, with 15 Committees each dedicated to a particular area of law.
Active, innovative and dynamic, we support practitioners in the early stages of their career development, giving them the opportunity to extend their network, expand their knowledge, advance their career and contribute to the profession and community.
To be eligible to join Young Lawyers, you must:
- be under 36 years of age or be in your first 5 years of practice (post admission in NSW);
- be a person that:
- holds a current practicing certificate as a Solicitor, Solicitor and Barrister, or Barrister in NSW; or
- is ordinarily resident or practising in NSW and is (or is entitled to be) a NSW legal practitioner under the Legal Profession Uniform Law; or
- is a student enrolled in a NSW Law Course or NSW practical legal training course, being a course recognised by the Legal Practitioners Admission Board for the period of enrolment.
