A team of multidisciplinary researchers from the Australian National University and the University of Melbourne has launched an innovative research study to look at lawyer wellbeing, workplace culture and ethics.

The research will focus on lawyers practising in the three states operating under the Uniform Law scheme, Victoria, New South Wales, and Western Australia.

As key legal regulatory bodies in these states, we are supporting this research project as part of our commitment to improving wellbeing across the legal profession. Meaningful change in lawyer wellbeing requires evidence-based action and this research will provide new insights and inform future initiatives. Findings from the research will be shared later this year.

We hope that all lawyers will take the time to contribute to this research and share their experience and views. The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete, and all responses are confidential and anonymous.

More information on the research and the protocols in place is available in the survey introduction.
