This session will explore how the metaverse impacts legal issues such as personal injuries, copyrights, patents, intellectual property, tax, cyber, privacy, contracts, defamation, claims against other users under crime and tort law, and claims by users against companies including across multiple jurisdictions. Plus, the session will cover:

  • What is metaverse, where is it now and where is it heading
  • Which existing areas of law and regulation applies
  • Impact on the future of legal advice.
