In recognition of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPwD), The Law Society of NSW invites you to a networking event, followed by a panel discussion on disability inclusion in the legal profession.
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities theme for 2025 is ‘Fostering disability inclusive societies for advancing social progress’. This event will feature a panel of leading legal experts and advocates who bring valuable perspectives on disability inclusion in the legal profession and highlight expertise and contributions of lawyers with disabilities.
We will explore the panellist's experiences with disability inclusion and accessibility from when they first entered the profession to now, what more can be done, the barriers still faced, and collaborating with people with disabilities to ensure authentic representation. The panel will consider how the legal profession can drive not only inclusion, but also social progress.
