The Medico-Legal Liaison Committee focuses on policy issues of mutual interest to the legal and medical professions, and aims to maximise co-operation between the professions.

Statement of Medico-Legal Relations
The Law Society and the Australian Medical Association (NSW) have issued a revised Statement of Medico-Legal Relations, effective from 1 March 2010. The revised Statement incorporates current terminology and references, and details appropriate methods of re-calculating the allowances and suggested fees for medico-legal reports, examinations and attendances.
