The Succession Amendment (Intestacy) Act 2009 commenced on 1 March 2010.

To assist practitioners to understand the far-reaching changes that have been made to intestacy law, the Elder Law & Succession Committee has produced a publication entitled, The Succession Amendment (Intestacy) Act 2009: A Commentary

The Commentary provides an overview of the Act, a useful Glossary of Terms, an analysis of the intestacy changes and examples of entitlement.
