About us
Members of our Committee comprise a dynamic group of diverse professionals including tax practitioners from law firms, accounting firms, corporates and the ATO. Our members are law students or legal practitioners under the age of 36 or in their first five years of practice.
Our members meet regularly to discuss tax related issues of interest and relevance to our members and the tax profession. All professionals, academics and undergraduate students with an interest in tax are invited to become members and encouraged to attend and participate at our meetings.

Adam Gulfam Ahmed, Chair
Adam is a lawyer at Allens Arthur Robinson, specialising in corporate and international income tax, trusts and GST. Adam is also a Chartered Accountant. Adam founded the Taxation Law Committee in 2009 and currently serves as Chair. He also sits on the Young Lawyers Executive Council. Prior to this, Adam served as the Secretary of the NSW Young Lawyers Business Law Committee. He is also currently serving as the Secretary of the UNSW Law Alumni Committee. Grace Ho, Vice-Chair
Grace is a senior associate at Baker & McKenzie. Grace joined the Taxation Law Committee in 2010 and currently serves as Vice-Chair. Adriana Bedon, Secretary
Adriana is a graduate lawyer working in the Corporate and International Tax Team at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Adriana joined the Tax Law Committee in 2009 and serves as Secretary. Priya Gangatharan, CLE Representative
Priya works at JP Morgan in the tax group, dealing with income tax and GST issues. Priya joined the Taxation Law Committee in 2009 and currently serves as the Committee's CLE co-ordinator. Priya can be contacted at priya.gangatharan@jpmchase.com.
Andrew Lam, Communications Officer
Andrew is a lawyer in the Minter Ellison tax group. Andrew joined the Taxation Law Committee in 2009 and currently serves as the Committee's Communications Officer. Andrew advises on all aspects of direct tax with a focus on international tax and taxation of mergers and acquisitions. Pamela Mete, Sponsorship Director
Pamela was admitted as a legal practitioner in 2009 and joined Young Lawyers in 2010. Also in 2009, Pamela was employed as an academic at the University of Wollongong tutoring and researching in the field of Taxation Law. This is Pamela’s first year being involved in the Taxation Law Committee and she is currently serving as the Committee’s Sponsorship Director. Pamela can be contacted at pamela.mete@gmail.com.

Neil Guo, Bushweb Representative
Neil joined young lawyers in 2010 having graduated with his Bachelors in Law in early 2010. He is currently studying his Masters in Law (Taxation) and is looking forward to a long and fruitful career in taxation. He enjoys reading, jazz and classical music, swimming and hiking.
