About us
Members of the NSW Young Lawyers International Law Committee share a keen interest in international law and the growing role it has in our practices, our political system and our lives.
We seek to promote informed discussion amongst our members and members of the Law Society of NSW on international law in Australia and to provide a distinctive Australian perspective on contemporary international legal issues and developments.
Our members meet regularly to discuss current issues in international law through roundtable discussions, professional debates with other international organisations, and seminars hosted by the leading law firms in Sydney. Our areas of focus include:
- International Humanitarian and Criminal Law
- International Dispute Resolution
- International IP, Communications and Technology Law
- International Maritime and Aviation Law
- Public International Law
- International Trade Law
- International Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources Law, and
- Private International Law.
