Significant cash transaction report (solicitor)

If your law practice receives cash in a transaction valued at AUD $10,000 or more, you are required by the Financial Transactions Reports Act 1988 to report the transaction to the Chief Executive Officer of AUSTRAC (Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre).

To report a relevant cash transaction, complete Form 15A from AUSTRAC. The form can be obtained by calling AUSTRAC on 9950 0827 or by email at help_desk@austrac.gov.au.
