Annual reports (Professional Standards)

The following annual reports provide an overview of the work undertaken by the Law Society’s Professional Standards Department. They address the criteria outlined in section 700 of the Legal Profession Act 2004 in relation to the reporting requirements of the Law Society Council.

The statistical analysis contained in each report provides an insight into the nature of complaints against the legal profession, the procedures in place for investigating and managing complaints, and the measures taken by the department to educate and support the profession in the area of professional responsibility.
