CLE Video Podcasts

To make it easier for busy solicitors to earn CLE units, the Law Society now delivers seminars via video podcasts.

Simply purchase a video podcast and view it on your computer at a time that is convenient for you.

A selection of  video podcasts of past CLE seminars is now available for purchase. New podcasts are being added all the time.

What is a video podcast?

A video podcast is the delivery of audio and visual footage online.

How to purchase and view

You can purchase video podcasts via the Law Society Shop.  Once purchased online, the video podcast is IMMEDIATELY transferred to your personal ‘My CLE Library’ and can be viewed via the web at your convenience.

Once purchased, the video podcast remains in your ‘My CLE Library’, available to be viewed whenever you choose (Law Society website login required).  Look for the orange icon in the Law Society Shop or visit eshop.lawsociety.com.au/myclelibrary.

On the video player, you have the option to switch from a 'high' to a 'low' video quality to suit your internet connection.  You can also download the video file (.mp4) or accompanying papers.

CLE requirements

If a video podcast is relevant to your immediate or long term needs in relation to your professional development and practice of the law, then you should claim one 'unit' for each hour of viewing.

Private study of video / audio / DVD equates to 1 MCLE (CPD) unit per hour to a maximum of 5 MCLE (CPD) units.

Important notes

Adobe Flash Player is required to view a CLE video podcast. If you do not have Adobe Flash Player on your computer click here to download the latest version. 

Please note, CLE video podcasts can now be viewed on Apple iPads and other tablet devices.

Download speeds may be affected by your Internet connection.
