Accredited Specialists

Congratulations on being an accredited specialist.

As an accredited specialist you may be called on for assistance by members of the public, other solicitors, community welfare agencies and businesses.

To help you maintain your accreditation and promote your status, the following publication Information for Accredited Specialists has been developed.

Renewal of Accreditation

Specialists renew annually and the accreditation year runs from 1 April to 31 March.

The due date for 2008/09 Specialist Accreditation renewal form was Monday 31 March 2008. Completed forms were required to have the following information:

  • Declarations (including: current practising certificate, continued substantial involvement in the area, membership of the Law Society,…etc)
  • CLE Report as evidence of compliance
  • Payment of annual fee

Specialists who renewed their accreditation in March 2008 were required to show proof of their CLE points in their specialty area. The time period for accruing these points was 1 September 2006 (the date of their last CLE report) to 31 March 2008.

Thank you to all those Specialists who have renewed their accreditation for 2008/09.
