EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST invited for NSW Specialist Accreditation Board and Advisory Committees
The Law Society delivers a Specialist Accreditation Scheme across 14 areas of practice.
The Specialist Accreditation Board is responsible for policy oversight and business direction for the Scheme, and the Advisory Committees are established to set and implement assessments in each area of practice that is offered.
As part of a broader process of building the Specialist Accreditation Scheme the Law Society is initiating an open nomination process for appointment to the Board and its Advisory Committees.
Board and Committee membership provides an opportunity to participate in the work the Society undertakes in building and supporting the profession and promoting access to justice in New South Wales.
Membership of either the Specialist Accreditation Board or one of its Advisory Committees offers the ability to:
- Assist in the governance, policy development and business strategy of the Scheme
- Contribute to the development of a specific area of practice for the benefit of the Scheme
- Help improve the Scheme for the benefit of the profession.
A completed form must be received by Specialist Accreditation department by Monday 14 April 2008.
